I drove one when I when I was living in NY in the middle of winter and it was the best car I have ever driven in the snow (and I had an all wheel drive subaru when I was in Tahoe). The car warmed up super fast and the heated leather seats were like butter. Now mine was Black which I think is way cooler than that ghetto gold, but I must say it was a great car.
Not even, I have always liked those cars. I tried to get my wife into one of these Cads, when we were looking for a car a few years back, and all she could say is "that's a grandma car". But I'm with you on this one.
My Uncle has one and I used to tease him about living up to the stereotype - then I drove it back from Vegas to LA. It's a very nice car - plenty of low milage ones around if you're going to get one.
I f'n love these - please stop posting the cars I love - Dodge Magnum, ETC's - I would like to maintain the anonymity of my awesomeness for just a wee bit longer...
Square car comeback. That was before GM gave cadillac an 'edge' (literally) in the form of pedestrian-damaging angular corners and got their groove back, right?
Nice if you were a 80 year old long island Jew!With those crazy wrap around shades over your glasses and a nice comb over!Oh and a pair of white shoes with the velcro straps......or perhaps a Brooklyn cujean, with a sergio Taceni warm-up suit and a pair of white leather keds skips and a dico ball hangen from your mirror!lets see is there anything else i fucken hate about that car!
The Fleetwoods are way better. They are essentially the most comfortable cars on the road that are actually built on cop car chassis. V8 and rear drive are hard to beat. High school saw me and my pals doing doughnuts, learning to power slide, jumping it, using it as a room on wheels and occasionally running from the cops (bit us in the ass one). Stupid fun!
Nah, you're not the only one. I broke down in Fresno once. Seems all the Laotian thugs in that armpit are into that shit, too --- you're in good company.
Throw on some supremes and flake the roof, some smitties, pinstripes and bad it...now you're talk'n!
ReplyDeleteSo this will be the next trend....
ReplyDeleteNah, it's just you...
ReplyDeleteIn other Dice news, the Apocalypse.
ReplyDelete80s and 90s cars should all be pushed over a cliff.

Well, don't really like it.
ReplyDeleteBut to say, any car from the 80s/90s sucks, is plain wrong.
BMW E30s are just awesome!
I always liked the lines of that car too. I could not get anyone to agree with me. The years surrounding it are a wasteland, tho'.
