Albert, TX

So there we were, riding along in the Texas heat on some two lane blacktop on the Pancho run. Somewhere near Fredericksburg in the hill country. Pretty much loving life I have to say, when we spot this beer sign attached to an old building, brakes on and a U turn later we were downing a Lone Star at the bar in Albert, Texas, population of 4. This place was amazing, the whole town consisted of a bar, an 85 year old dance hall, an ice house, 12 acres of land, a river, a 3 bedroom house and fantastic views. I loved it. It was only after talking to the bartender I became aware that the whole town was for sale. 8 years earlier the price had started at 1.5 million bucks, now however it was down to $550,000. Holy shit, how can I raise some money. Seeing as even $500 was going be a challange I really wasn't hopeful but y'know, surely some bank manager somewhere could see the big picture. I did try, but alas, to no avail. A few days ago I heard it got sold, damn, I'm so gutted. I think it's important to try and not let your dreams pass you by, this one did though, bollocks. Can you imagine the Dice parties we could of had here?

Issue 30 Release Party Calif.

Oh yeah! and its right here in our backyard, if only 'cos the weather is crap just about everywhere else. We have DJ's, we are still working on the bands but I can safely say they will be killer. Loads of parking and a really brilliant old time bar. The Long Beach swap is on the following day too so why not come into town and make a weekend of it, loads of cheap motels near the venue. Man, its going to be a great night out.

Dice party Yokohama pt: 1

The yearly Mooneyes show in Yokohama is without doubt the best motorcycle show in the world. Not only a ton of amazing bikes to drool over in the hall itself but the overflowing parking lot outside is a mindbender too. This year the event was larger and had more visitors than ever before....but that's another story. We held a party in town at the Nine cafe/bar on the Saturday night before the show. After some confusion with the venue not actually being open at the time it was all supposed to kick off and the disapearing bar staff, we did finally get the thing started. And what a bloody fantastic time it was too. The place was rammed, the bands were all great, including Dean aka Kid Rocker making a rare ( ?! ) Japanese apperance. It was a hot, smokey, packed, sweaty night out, just like it should be in fact.

Dice party Yokohama pt: 2

By the time this band came on, about 2 am, things were getting crazy. We saw these guys in Tokyo a year earlier and they blew our minds. We just knew we had to get them to play at the party in Yokohama. The first couple of bars of their first song the crazy meter went off the chart, brilliant! The 'Stompin' Riff Raffs' my new favourite band.

Chocs

I love chocolate, in fact who doesn't love chocolate? Filo of Deadlicious sent us these as a christmas present, he made them, fantastic. I wasn't going eat them but, y'know how that goes?

New Year

We went to England for the holidays, it was very cold, and wet. We had a blinding night on December 31st, we danced, we drank, we laughed and we cried, good times. I then had a crap early morning flight back to LA on the 1st with a raging hangover.
2010 is going to be so bloody brilliant that I might just have to punch myself in the face 'cos Im sooooo excited right now.
BTW, if anyone ordered anything from Dec 21st up to the end of the year then it will be going out early next week, I promise.

The Executioners MC

London, early 70's. Their patches were mostly red and white so it wasn't long before they were asked to, ahem, cease and desist.

BF2010

Do you like the way I shortened the Born Free heading so its easier to send by text and twitter and all that rubbish. I might be nearly 50 but I can still behave like a brain dead teenager if I want. In fact I can send a text using my toes and have a conversation while I'm sitting at a bar talking with my friends, just like the Jonas Bros in fact.
Its going to be stupendous. The Ink and Iron and the LA Roadster shows are the weekends either side so how about planning your So Cal holiday around that time, makes sense right? yes, it does.

55 Gasser, In A Jason Cruz Stylie

Alternate Weesner Cover

This was an alternative cover that Keith did for us a few years back. I can't remember why we went with his other design and not this one, I think it was 'cos this picture was already well known. Looks great though eh?
